Skerton ABC 5th March
Northwest ABC boxers head South to Morecambe on March 5th 2011. Boxers Connor Wallace, Craig Best, Paul Hope & Stephen Connell will all be competing on the Skerton ABC show. Good luck lads !!!

NEW SEASON 2010 / 2011
Lets get this season started ! Training starts for real on Monday 19th July. 110% effort expected from ALL boxers. Put in the effort at the gym, reap the rewards all season in the ring!
Season 2009/2010
As the season draws to a close another two Northwest Boxers prepare to enter the ring. Fri 28th May will see both Craig Best and David McPike in competition again. Both Boxers are competing at Paisley ABC's home show in Linwood. Northwest boxers have been busy in the later end of the 2010 season and hope to carry this trend on into 2010/2011. Good luck to Craig & David tonight!!
Northwest Boxers in Action
Fri 21st may will see five of Northwest ABC boxers in action on both sides of the Scotland/England border! Connor Wallace, Paul Hope and Robert McGinney will all be competing on the Leigh ABC home show in Warrington England. On the same evening both Jordan McDonald & Kieran McMaster will be competing at Denbeath ABC's home show in Buckhaven, Scotland. Good luck to all boys involved.
Scottish Championships
This years ABS Junior Scottish Championships are held on Sat 3rd & Sun 4th April at the Time Capsule Coatbridge. Competing in this tournament for Northwest ABC are Leon Roberts, Connor Wallace & Dylan Nixon. Transport times will be arranged at the club this week.Good luck to all boxers involved.
A1 COLLISION
Northwest ABC would like to thank A1 Collision of Kilmarnock for sponsoring the club over the past 12months. Without the funding from A1 collision the club would struggle to survive. ALL sponsorship recieved by the club goes directly back into the club to help with constant maintenance costs, club kits, boxing equipment & travel costs for the club boxers to and from tournaments & shows.
Lancaster March 2010
GRASSROOTS
The minibus will be leaving Northwest ABC at 5:30pm on Friday 26th March. All boxers & parents attending please be there on time! The B&B is also booked, The Balmoral in Morecambe only 5mins from the venue.(Lancaster College) B&B price is £30 per adult.
Skerton Grassroots
Skerton ABC are holding their England v Scotland Grassroots tournament on Sat 27th Feb. Northwest boxers Connor Wallace, Kieran McMaster, Leon Roberts & Paul Hope shall be representing Scotland in their respective age groups. Travel arrangements shall be finalised this week.
Scottish Youth Championships
David Mcpike competed in the Scottish Youth Championships at Lasswade in Edinburgh on Sat 27th Feb. David had a long & drawn out day, leaving Kilmarnock at 7.30am but due to the road conditions he didnt weigh in at Lasswade until 9.30am. The day only got longer for David from here, with all luck going against him David was the last bout of the day, not fighting until 8pm! With Davids usual dedication & commitment the wait didn't affect him mentally. Bout 28, 8pm, 13hrs after leaving home, David entered the ring. This was the start of a four round battle with both boxers standing toe to toe for the full 4 rounds. David boxed superbly & deserves his position in the SCOTTISH YOUTH FINAL!! Well done David from all at Northwest.
Northwest Boxers in action
Northwest boxers are in action this weekend again (26th,27th,28th Feb) with Kieran Mcmaster & Connor Wallace both competing at the Skerton ABC show in Morecambe on Friday night. David McPike is representing Northwest ABC at the 2010 Scottish Youth Championships on Sat & Sun at Lasswade High School in Edinburgh. Good luck to all boxers involved.
Intermediate Championships
This was the first Intermediate Championships to be held in Scotland. The championships are for boxers with 7-12 bouts with the aim of gaining more ring experience before entering the Scottish Championships later in the season. Both David McPike & Kieran Mcmaster were entered for the Northwest club. David was boxing at 75kg & Kieran at 38kg. Both boxers put in stunning displays, this was Kierans first bout of the season, he coped well with the constant pressure put on him by his opponent & was unlucky to be outpointed .This was also Davids first bout of the season,not that you would know with this display, David demonstrated his superior speed & strength to create a standing count in the first round & force a stoppage in round 2. Both boxers are a credit to the club & the sport of boxing. Well done lads!
2010 Scottish Intermediate Championships
The Scottish intermediate Championships are taking place on Sat 30th & Sun 31st of January 2010 for boxers with 7 - 12 bouts. All boxers elligible to enter WILL be entered. Boxers competing must train regularly at the gym & complete their own road running.
ESSEX
The flights are all booked for the ESSEX trip on Sat 14th Nov. Boxers competing MUST be at their fighting weight. Boxers will be weighed at the club at training. Travel arrangements to & from the airport will be finalised this week. Lets go down there & put on a good show. Good luck to Connor, Jordan & Dylan.
SCOTTISH INVASION
Northwest ABC boxers are training hard for their upcoming trip to Essex. So far 3 of the clubs boxers are matched up. Connor Wallace, Jordan Mcdonald & Dylan Nixon.
