Club Improvements

Northwest ABC recently improved their existing gym equipment with the addition of a Stepper Machine, 3 exercise bikes & 2 concept11 rowers. The new equipment is a great addition to the members cardio vascular options. The club will be adding more strength training equipment when space is made available.

NORTHWEST BOXERS COMPETE IN ESSEX

CONNOR WALLCE, DYLAN NIXON & JORDAN McDONALD RECENTLY COMPETED AT THE SOUTHEND ABC HOME SHOW IN ESSEX.

THE BOYS HAD AN EARLY START TO CATCH THE 7.00am FLIGHT FROM GLASGOW TO LONDON STANDSTEAD, FOLLOWED BY AN HOURS DRIVE TO GET TO THEIR HOTEL, TO ADD TO THAT IT WAS CONNORS 1st FLIGHT!! SO AN EVENTFUL DAY EVEN BEFORE STEPPING IN THE RING.

THE BOYS DONE THEMSELVES & THE CLUB PROUD WITH THEIR PERFORMANCES IN & OUT OFF THE RING AGAINST SOME QUALITY OPPONENTS FROM ENGLAND.

CONNOR WALLACE & JORDAN McDONALD WERE UNLUCKY IN THEIR BOUTS BOTH BEING BEATEN ON POINTS. DYLAN NIXON CONTINUES TO IMPROVE IN EVERY BOUT & SECURED AN IMPRESSIVE VICTORY. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR ALL BOXERS INVOLVED.

THANKS TO SOUTHEND ABC FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY,ALSO PICKING US UP & RETURNING US TO THE AIRPORT EARLY IN THE MORNING. THANKS AGAIN!!

NORTHWEST ABC IS OPEN FOR TRAINING SUNDAY 22 NOV 10:00am - 11:30am

ALL BOXERS MUST BE AT THEIR PEAK FITNESS LEVELS & BANG ON WEIGHT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR UPCOMING SHOWS & CHAMPIONSHIPS.

BOXERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN FITNESS LEVELS, ROAD RUNNING MUST BE PART OF YOUR OWN REGIME OUTSIDE THE CLUB.

The Northwest ABC sparring sessions are starting to take off now. Northwest would like to thank all boxers & clubs who have attended.

Special thanks to Braveheart Boxing Club, Kelty Boxing club & Sammy Hill

who have all helped in make these sessions a success.

All clubs are welcome to attend any Friday night for open sparring.

OPEN SPARRING NIGHTS !!!!!

Northwest A.B.C shall be holding

open sparring sessions at the club on Friday nights.

The club is open from 6.00-8.00pm.

All boxers MUST have clearance from

their clubs coach to participate.

Northwest Boxers travelled to Newarthill

today,where the squad continued to

grow in size with another 5 boxers recieving

their medicals.

These boxers have been training hard in previous months & are now licenced to box for Northwest A.B.C

The squad continues to grow & get stronger each season.

Good luck to all carded boxers.

With the the first couple weeks training under your belt.
Nows the time to really crank up the effort, gets those ropes spinning, pound the pavements & train hard in the gym! The coaches are actively match making, ALL boxers must be ready!!

CLUB OPEN FOR NEW SEASON

NORTHWEST A.B.C shut its doors at the end of the boxing season for some needed refurbishment. The refurbishment is now complete and the doors were re-opened for the new season on 3rd August 2009.

All boxers have 4weeks before the first of this seasons shows start, so time to train hard lads!!
